01 / The challenge

Turn reading documents into an investigation: find contradictions, connect clues and reconstruct events independently.

02 / The solution

The Quiet Archive

An atmospheric Flutter detective game for iOS and Android: explore a seaside hotel, discover clues and support every deduction with evidence.

  • A complete first investigation: 3 locations, 12 clues and 5 evidence-based deductions.
  • Each theory requires two supporting clues; new documents unlock as the investigation progresses.
  • Three levels of free hints, a resolution and replay.
  • Local progress saving with a previous-version backup.
  • Shared Flutter code targeting iOS and Android, a portrait interface and bundled fonts.
03 / The outcome

The first case: from a mysterious letter to an evidence-backed resolution.

Implementation details
  • Game content lives in JSON; the prerequisite graph is validated independently of the interface.
  • A deduction requires the correct statement and two supporting clues; future evidence is gated by story prerequisites.
  • Local saves use a write queue, a previous-version backup and corrupted-data handling.
  • 10 tests cover progression, persistence and the interface; static analysis is clean and the web build succeeds. The shared Flutter project includes iOS and Android targets; native builds have not yet been verified.
